Software

TMSI has produced a wide range of software packages for our products as well as software developed as special client initiated R&D projects. These software packages are supplied with new test and measurement machines or with upgrades to existing equipment.

In addition to the packages listed here, TMSI can develop custom software from specialized customer requirements. Our software is Windows NT/2000 based and is designed to be flexible, easy to learn and use, and easily upgradable as technology progresses. Users can easily define tests, and results are automatically reported in tabular or graph form.

Software for Automotive Applications

HYGE® CrashTEST™

HYGE® CrashTEST™ is a Windows based Crash Laboratory Management data acquisition/control software package configured to control the countdown and firing of the HYGE® Crash Sled, sense Time Zero and distribute it to various laboratory equipment, control current pulse shaping for airbag squibs, and acquire and present data for the entire test including calculations for crash dummies.

Some of the features of this program are:

  1. Input screens allowing the user to define the test with appropriate header information, specify necessary pressures and liquid levels for the HYGE® cylinders, define acceleration levels for Time Zero generation, define duration and amplitude of the current/voltage for SquibFireControl, and configure the PhotoControl™ Interface for use in turning on/off laboratory accessory equipment.
  2. Test sequence countdown control with active readout and checking of pneumatic pressures, safety interlocks, liquid levels, PhotoControl Interface, SquibFire Control, and data acquisition system (DAS).
  3. A complete CrashANALYSIS™ package used for tabular, graphical, and photo analyses. This package has all major crash calculations as specified by FMVSS 208 and ECE 94/95. Some of the calculations are head injury criteria (HIC), Neck injury (Nij), Viscous Criteria (V*C), and Thoracic Trauma Index (TTI), to name a few. SAE J211 Class filters are also supported.
  4. Data archival of sled launch reports. These reports document test conditions requested as well as the pressures and levels at the time of launch.
  5. Manual Control Screens for activation of individual control features during system checkout, rather than following a preprogrammed sequence of events.
  6. A Transducer Database to track calibrations and provide input for the DAs configuration.
