TMSI is a global Test Measurement Systems Integrator specializing in Research & Development projects across multiple industries. Our mission is to draw maximum information from customer products through improvements in traditional measurement and control techniques using our substantial base of Information Technology.

Our services include needs-evaluation, design, hardware/software design, equipment selection procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of test equipment ranging from component to turn-key robotic systems and from test fixtures through instrumentation systems to data acquisition/control hardware and software.

Software examples include HYGE® Sled Controls, Modicon Control Software, Windows® NT Applications, Custom Control and Acquisition Software for pneumatics, hydraulics, deflection, deformation, displacement, endurance, force, load, stiffness, strain, and vibration under the Windows® 95/98/NT/2000 operating systems.

Hardware components include a data acquisition interface unit with sample-n-hold circuitry and the TMSI card cage capable of holding up to fifteen (15) TMSI bridge type sensor amplifier cards, or a combination of squib fire, frequency generator, and sensor amplifier cards.

Complete systems range from tire and testing including high speed uniformity through a variety of FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) and crash laboratory machines to general load, deflection, displacement, endurance and vibration systems.

TMSI is a "Virtual" Test R&D Department for test laboratories worldwide.

TMSI Background
TMSI purchased the assets of G.R. Potts Associates as a consulting and systems integration company engaging in projects providing test system design, technical measurements, and advice in the areas of vibration analysis and controls applications within the transportation industry.

Multiple solutions to our customers needs have evolved over the years at TMSI, including software such as CrashTEST™, a PC based test data acquisition/reduction/control system, and a large array of electronic hardware modules such as CardCage™ with such analog interface modules as:

Furthermore, TMSI provides complete test systems that include manufactured machines with complete electronics, software, and controls, such as the FMVSS 201/202 test machine, that have been built for customers worldwide.

TMSI's clients range from large Fortune 500 corporations to small corporate clients, and the scope of operation is worldwide.

TMSI Outlook
The future holds many advances in the fields of computer control, testing, data acquisition, analysis, and a multitude of possibilities for solutions for our clients' technical problems and projects. More sophisticated testing and analysis techniques will be developed and implemented with the expertise and creativity of our available pool of experienced researchers and engineers. TMSI will be a front-runner in this market serving as an as-needed R&D department for many of our clients.

Future solutions that TMSI can provide range widely, including single computer systems configured to interface, "smart" hardware/software, advanced control and acquisition systems for multiple test laboratories, analysis packages including advanced statistical analyses and nural net interpolation tools, collective data basing of results from multiple laboratories, and collaborative presentation of collective results. Advances in technology allows for mass amounts of data to be acquired and analyzed, resulting in rapid advances for manufactured products in coming years.

Acquisition, presentation, and analysis of data are vital portions of any technical project. The need for correct interpretation of correctly acquired data creates the need for advanced custom hardware/software and tools. TMSI offers the hardware/software and tools in addition to having the expertise for selecting commercially available state-of-the art hardware/software in a market for complete test measurement and data acquisition systems.

Today's product and project improvements are evolutionary rather than revolutionary, indicating that performance improvements occur incrementally. Product performance is optimized incrementally only by making procession test measurements. Cascading a number of improvements will produce significant changes in products.
